Il viale dovrà poi essere percorso in senso inverso al termine delle visite.\n\nNello splendi do paesaggio della Valle Peligna\, alle falde occidentali del Morrone iniz ieremo con la scoperta dello spettacolare Santuario di Ercole Curino (ATTE NZIONE: l’escursione al Santuario di Ercole Curino richiede circa 10 min uti di cammino in discesa all’andata e circa 15 minuti di cammino in sal ita al ritorno)\, punto di riferimento religioso per tutte le genti pelign e: posto in una particolare posizione addossata alla montagna\, fu un freq uentatissimo luogo di culto fin dall’età italica monumentalizzato poi i n epoca romana. Sepolto da una frana nel I sec. a.C. fu riportato alla luc e negli anni ’60\, rivelando grandezza e ampiezza monumentali.\n\nA segu ire si salirà all’Eremo di Sant’Onofrio (ATTENZIONE: l’escursione a ll’Eremo di Sant’Onofrio richiede circa 40 minuti di cammino in salita all’andata e circa 30 minuti di cammino in discesa al ritorno)\, incast onato a strapiombo sul Morrone\, uno dei luoghi più iconici di tutta la r egione. Sant’Onofrio fu il primo eremo morronese di San Pietro Celestino e il suo luogo più amato. Sorge su più livelli al di sopra di una spelo nca rocciosa nella quale da sempre si praticano idroterapia e litoterapia. Qui verrà consumato il pranzo al sacco.\n\nNel pomeriggio\, una volta sc esi dall’eremo e riprese le automobili\, ci si recherà presso la monume ntale Badia Morronese\, per secoli casa madre dei monaci di Celestino V e testimone della potenza e del prestigio che l'ordine acquisì dopo la mort e del suo fondatore.
